About A1 Polyglot
Every language journey
begins with a first step
At A1 Polyglot, I don’t believe language learning has to feel heavy, complicated, or reserved for “experts”. It can be simple. It can be human. And it can start with the small, honest steps we take every day.
This project comes from my own path as a learner, a teacher, and someone who has always felt curious about the world. I created A1 Polyglot to give people the kind of tools I always wished that don’t overwhelm you, that respect your time, and that remind you why learning a language feels exciting in the first place.
Approach
I’m not here to promise fluency in weeks or compete with giant apps. That’s not the point. What I want is to create a space where anyone can learn at their own pace, without feeling judged or rushed. A space where beginners feel welcome, where learning feels light, and where every small victory actually matters. That’s why A1 Polyglot focuses on simple, everyday practice through web apps and tools that help you build confidence step by step.
Resources
Everything inside A1 Polyglot comes from the same idea: language learning should feel doable. I created an audio-based phrase app (A1 Polyglot Phrases) and mini-games (A1 Polyglot Dice), lessons with audios and interactive practice exercises, quizzes, and general content that help you build real progress over time.
Each tool exists because I noticed something missing in my own learning, and I wanted to fix it, not just for me, but for anyone who feels the same. I’m always adding new resources and improving the old ones. My goal is to make learning languages feel inspiring, friendly, and accessible, no matter where you are in the world.
Philosophy
I’ve seen too many people give up before they even begin. Not because they can’t learn, but because they feel intimidated by the process or by what others expect. That’s why the heart of A1 Polyglot is simple: start. Enjoy the process. Let curiosity guide you. If one day you decide to pursue advanced levels, great. If not, that’s also fine. What matters is that first spark, the moment you realize you can learn another language and open yourself to the world.
Vision
A1 Polyglot isn’t just a project for me. It’s part of a bigger dream: helping people feel more connected to the world around them. I imagine a growing collection of tools, videos, podcasts, magazines, interactive books, and courses that help people explore languages in simple and meaningful ways. A global community of learners who celebrate every new phrase, every mistake, every milestone. This is the kind of platform I wish I had years ago.
Purpose
Bringing education, creativity, and passion together A1 Polyglot is where all the parts of my life meet, teaching, languages, history, self improvement, design, and digital creation. For learners, it’s a source of guidance and inspiration. For me, it’s a reminder of why I started creating things in the first place: to help people grow, discover, and feel more confident in their own journeys. If this project can help even one person take their first step in a new language, then it’s already worth it.
About me
Hi, I’m Sergio. I created A1 Polyglot after spending years building websites, apps, books, and digital content for other people. Before that I was a language teacher, and my first dream back in 2012 was to create simple, accessible tools for learning languages from the very beginning. Work grew and that idea stayed on hold for a long time, but I never forgot it. Now, I’m finally returning to that original path, this time with more clarity and a real desire to learn, create, and share resources that help beginners get started without pressure. A1 Polyglot is my personal journey turned into a project. I design the apps, curate the content, and follow my own challenge to earn several A1 certificates in different languages. I use everything I build, and as I keep learning, I share the process so others can learn too. The goal is simple, to help anyone feel confident starting a new language and to make the basics enjoyable, practical, and part of everyday life.
